Abstract : the focus of this papers is to obtine the effective properties of a 1-3 peizocmposite consisting of an infinitely large isotropic host with thicness the elastic and electric sields inside PZT cylinders are obtained using greens fuction formulation . the mori-tanaka method is used to predict the effictive properties of the 1-3 composite including elastic piezoelectric and dielectric constants as function of the PZT volume fraction
